Do you have a particular life obstacle you’re trying to overcome? Sometimes, seeking help from a professional is the best way to put things into perspective

I want to help you find the tools you need to get over a particular life obstacle.

I offer individual and limited couples therapy to adults. I also offer supervision and consultation services to Psychologists and Other Mental Health Professionals.

I am a Clinical Psychologist. I completed both my Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1998.

I have over twenty years experience as a Clinical Psychologist, working in many different areas over this time. I began my psychology career working for The Department of Community Services, later moving on to Central Coast Health where I worked in Child & Family Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs, and Adult Mental Health. I moved into Private Practice 17 years ago. I have been practising on the Central Coast since 2001, only recently moving my practice to Lake Macquarie.

I am an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor and am available for either professional consultation or professional supervision as either a Primary or Secondary Supervisor.

I work in an active, 'future focused' way. I believe in giving the past the attention is deserves, but moving forward, and making a better future.

I come from a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and mainly utilise Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques in my treatment.

I believe in the benefits of healthy bodies and healthy minds and also the benefits of walking while talking through difficulties. Due to this, I offer a walk and talk service in which the therapy is conducted outside in our beautiful surrounds. Please let me know if you are interested in this.

Medicare – Better Access to Mental Health Care

People wishing to access psychological services under the Medicare scheme must first discuss the appropriateness of a referral with their General Practitioner. It is up to the doctor to determine whether the specific criteria that entitles them to this type of referral is met. The referral would allow them to access up to ten sessions of counselling per calendar year. Please note that I do not bulk bill under Medicare. The full fee for the consultation must be paid at the time of the consultation and then a rebate of approximately $126 is claimed through Medicare. Speak to your General Practitioner if you would like to know if you qualify for this referral.

Health Funds / Privately Paying

Many private health funds provide rebates for Psychological Counselling.  Phone your health fund if you are unsure whether psychological treatment is covered by them.

Please note that a referral is not required if you are not coming under Medicare.
